Bianca the Label began in the peak of the Covid-19 outbreak when Melbourne went into their fifth lockdown in July, 2020. Just before this lockdown Bianca (owner, founder, designer and sewer) was making masks for a local store. She thought about venturing off on her own and starting her own label. Hours into  opening her website, the news came out that masks were being made mandatory and the orders started to fly in. Bianca made and sold face masks for over a year as they were still in high demand.

During lockdown 6, in August 2021, Bianca had a lot of spare time as her part time job at the time became slower. Spending most of her time at home and in her pyjamas with her fury friend Wilson, she realised there was limited choices for patterned pyjamas, so she thought what better products to put her illustrated designs on than comfortable sleepwear and accessories.

Bianca is the sole-owner and sole-creative behind the business. When she is busy or run down, she recruits the help of her parents who can assist with the cutting of fabric or the final packaging of orders.

Her family puppy, Wilson, can usually be found trying to help Bianca cut fabrics or sew up final garments by sitting by the sewing machine. When he isn’t trying help, he is generally sleeping close-by.
